The problem
In a world dominated by mass-produced items and overwhelming choice, both artisans and consumers were struggling. Talented creators needed a platform that understood their value, while customers seeking unique, handcrafted pieces had no curated space to discover them. The challenge was to create more than just another marketplace – it needed to be a destination that celebrated quality and craftsmanship.
The Solution
Working closely with the Designsnitch founding team, we developed a sophisticated marketplace platform powered by Markko, our headless CMS built specifically for marketplaces. While incorporating our core marketplace features, we created something unique – the ‘DS Collections’ module, a curated space for one-of-a-kind pieces that go live on specific dates for limited durations, creating excitement and exclusivity around special artisanal collections.
Beyond standard marketplace functionality, we built tools that celebrated the uniqueness of each piece. From bespoke creator profiles to detailed storytelling capabilities, every feature was crafted to enhance the connection between maker and buyer. This isn’t just a marketplace – it’s a community where exceptional craftsmanship finds its moment to shine.
